We interrupt your regularly scheduled program for a TDB news flash. I’m your shaggy doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel on location. It was -8° this morning! Wow! That’s the coldest temperature so far this year in our yard.
It was actually pretty nice out in the bright sun. We were thinking that the weather tracker on our ghostwriter’s cell phone must be off. But in the shade, or the wind, one immediately feels the nip. So now we’ll take you to my fine coated associate Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel who is standing in the shade and wind. What do you think Joey dog?
Well, Chester, I think it’s quite pleasant. In fact I have snow all over my face and it’s very refreshing. I will remind our viewers that we are both well insulated with a double coat of shaggy cocker spaniel fur. Humans may wish to don a coat or something when they go outside. I will also remind them that they should not leave their doggies or kitties outside for long periods of time in this cold. Smaller doggies should wear a coat. The Yum Yum Coalition handbook explicitly states that all doggies going outside for the reason of gathering photographs of them in the cold snow shall be rewarded with double yum yum treats upon returning to the inside of the house.
And now we’ll give a brief update on the state of the local Silly Goose Cabal. A large flock was flying overhead whilst we were outside. We can only imagine how cold it must be up there! At least they’re flying south this time! Bye bye geese! See you in spring!
Tune into The Daily Bone for further weather developments. We now return you to your regularly scheduled program.
Yikes, dat are some cold stuff.
ReplyDeleteOnly one thing to say: Don't go to China I think they the Chinese want to steal your insulated fur. I read the love to make fur coats of the poor doggies. Yikes.
ReplyDeleteOh dear! The only person allowed to give us a haircut is Miss Jacquie!

Great advise for keeping pets indoors. It is warming up here, thankfully. Stay warm my friends.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you boys have nice thick coats! That is brrrrrrrr chilly!
ReplyDeleteIt sure was cold here too, this morning our thermometer on one side of the den said -15F...whilst the less reliable one must have been frozen to death, because it said -22F, and we couldn't even see the red fluid in it, BOL! Some peeps nearby lost power fur a while, they had to announce it on the news, so that pawrents could pick their kidlets up from school, since it went off after they had all gotten there, imagine the scrambling of those pawrents! We were not in the outage zone:)
ReplyDeleteI only went out to make yellow snow...and I was worried that it was going to freeze on the way to the snow.BOL!
Stay warm you pups!
Its supposed to warm up here next few days to a balmy 27F...wow! BOL!
Hmmm...today it was about 44 degrees and mostly sunny. tomorrow it'll be very rainy and maybe 46 degrees. Better get my boots ready. You guys look like you have great weather.
ReplyDeleteBBBBRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
