TGIF

Hello and welcome everybody! This is The Daily Bone and I’m your humble doggie reporter
Chester L. W. Spaniel.

The humans have this saying: Thank God It’s Friday. My esteemed colleague Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel and I are trying to figure it out. Apparently there are seven days to a week. Most humans work Monday through Friday, and then have the weekend off. So they’re glad when Friday rolls around and they’ll have two days of free time. Joey dog and I couldn’t care less what day of the week it is. We have fun every day, and work all the time. In fact, we think work and play are the same thing. We say: TGIT (Thank God It's Today!)

We just have a few odds and ends to report today. First, a little bit more about Carol’s Little Freedom, the pony we featured yesterday. This beautiful little foal is from a very famous place: Chincoteague Virginia. Our good friend Carol who is one of our long time fans, even before TDB went on line as a blog, sends us pictures every year of the new baby ponies at Chincoteague. I am always so happy to see the ponies that have the same colors as me: white with tan spots. Hooray! Here’s a picture of me looking at the ponies in 2012.

And now Joey dog would like to say a few words about yum yums to our human in Boca Raton Florida, who is still suspicious about those double yolk eggs: for cripes sake, it’s just an egg! If you’re that paranoid about it, give it to Miss Charlee Puppy to eat! I'm certain she won't care at all if it looks like a skull!

And then , there's this:

Dear Miss Charlee Puppy,
I am very glad you also inherited some of Professor Braydie’s vast and wondrous alien squeaky toy collection. Please keep in mind that they may have strange and unworldly powers. However, don’t let Old Lane the Voodoo cat fool you into thinking they are mysteriously attracted to her and not you! Sincerely, Chester L. W. Spaniel, chairman of the Squeaky Party and alien squeaky toy researcher.

PS: if you ever need advice on how to dissect, catalog, and then store a squeaky toy, please refer to TDB 10-26-13 (Proper Squeaky Toy Management) 10-27-13 (More Squeaky Toy Theory and Discussion) and 5-1-14 (Review of Proper Squeaky Toy Procedures.)

And here's the last news item for today: Sammy Cat is retiring from working at the nursing home and is going to live with one of the Physical Therapists, where he will have a comfortable forever home. Thank you for all your good work Sammy, and good luck.

Have a great weekend everyone!

  1. LOL I'd have the eggs double yolk or not no problem. We have a long weekend here too and we are so looking forward to it but sadly it rained buckets this morning. Come on Mr Sun get your hat on we say. Have a super Saturday.
    Best wishes Molly
