Our Snowy Day

Greetings friends and fans! This is The Daily Bone and I'm your patiently waiting, and well-rested doggie reporter
Chester L. W. Spaniel.

Yesterday we had storm warnings all day long. On TV, you would think the end of the world (again) was coming as they tracked the snow clouds moving towards us from the west. I waited all day, but didn't see a single snowflake!

Ghostwriter got called into work for a few hours. She made sure she had a snow brush, an ice scraper, and a snow shovel in her car, just in case the impending "snow-mageddon" hit before she got out. She didn't need them. In fact, the roads were perfectly clear the whole way home! When we woke up this morning, though, we found that we had gotten a few inches of light snow.

My back yard at 9AM.

The snow plow went by around 11AM, but you can see, there was very little snow for him to plow.

By noon it was snowing lightly, and a bit windy.

At 1:30PM while Dad was out running a few errands, a couple kids came by and offered to shovel the driveway. Wow! Ghostwriter didn't think kids did that anymore these days! They did a pretty good job too.

Way to go, future entrepreneurs!

By 4PM, it was really coming down!

Hooray! Time for some snow zoomies!

By 6PM, we had twice as much snow.

Gee, I wonder how much more snow we'll get?

It is now 9PM.

The snow is still coming down. Please tune in tomorrow for an update!

  4. My word Chester....that snow was sneaky creeping up on you gradually then BANG it clobber you big time. We are interested to learn how much you rec'd. Looks purrty deep to me in fact I'd be lost. Years ago when the peeps were owned by Toto the mighty mini we had a freak snow storm of 18". That crazy German dog hated his feet wet with rain but OMCs did he love that snow.
He made tunnels running in it an every so often you could see his black nose pop up like a periscope. Stay warm and we hope the sun comes out and melts that stuff so you can find spring
    Hugs madi your bfff
