Thursday Evening News

Hello everybody! This is The Daily Bone and I'm your reliable doggie reporter Chester L W. Spaniel.

Ghostwriter finally got a day off today! She had worked seven days in a row before that! So she and Dad went out to lunch without us doggies! However, she did remember to take pictures of the food for the Yum Yum Coalition Food Directory. Here's our culinary expert Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel, Doggie Chief Inspector, comestibles division, with the report:

Hello foodie friends! Our humans went to Tokyo Restaurant in Rochester today for some exotic Japanese cuisine.

This is called a bento box meal. It has tempura vegetables, teriyaki salmon, some pieces of sushi with pickled ginger, dumplings, and rice. Below is miso soup and a salad.

I would have loved to go along with them, but they brought home samples!

Thank you Joey for that scrumptious report!

Since ghostwriter has to go back to work tomorrow, we're going to do our Flower Friday feature a day early.

Carpenter bee and phlox.

Hydrangeas and flying insects.

The seeds of the clemetis vine look like feathers.

Green caterpillar on a rose leaf.

Black-eyed-susan blooming among the milkweeds.

Our weather today was bright and sunny with some spectacular white summer clouds.

I should have worn my sunglasses.

That's our report. Hope you all have a good night.
