Harbingers

Hello. This is The Daily Bone and I’m your faithful doggie reporter Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel.

It’s a lot colder out today than it was yesterday. So all the formerly soft slushy snow is now frozen solid, and very slippery and difficult to walk on. I consider this a minor setback. Indeed, I saw a few harbingers of Spring on which we can pin our hope for warmer weather ahead.

The giant ice dam and snow drift on our roof is melting steadily in the bright sunshine.

A robin has been sitting on the top of the silver maple tree.

Peekaboo! This cardinal has been singing in our yard for the past two weeks.

Another dummy fly thought it was warm enough to sit on our window.

Keeping these in mind, I will make my way slowly …

… carefully …

… trying not to slip …

… back into the house where …

… surprise! Look at this great dinner ghostwriter made!
