Good evening ladies and gentlemen, doggies and kitties.
This is The Daily Bone and I'm your introspective doggie commentator Chester L. W. Spaniel.
This picture (below) was taken on December 27, 2014.
As you can see, there is no snow on the ground.
On December 29, 2014 it began to snow.
We checked back through our photo archives, and discovered that we have not seen the ground or the grass since then! This (below) is what the yard looks like now:
Can you believe it? |
The weatherman said it was supposed to warm up last week. But it was colder than ever, and it snowed some more too! Today, it finally got a bit warmer. How warm, you might ask? Warm enough for ghostwriter to go outside without a coat on.
Warm enough for Dad to finally get all the packed-down snow and ice off the driveway. |
Warm enough for rooftop snow to melt and make lots of icicles.
That gives me a lot to think about. I mean I love the snow. If it keeps getting warmer, all my wonderful snow will melt. But on the other hand …
Think of all the mud we'll have if this snow all melts at once! |
When ya got icicles like dat, it are not warm. Just sayin.
ReplyDeleteHey, your spot in the world is looking a lot like mine!
ReplyDeleteMud?? Well, I will take that over the snow, at least I can run through it BOL!!
I have not been out there in the varmint invested back-woodsy area fur so long...I need to get busy evicting them all!
Your melting sounds and looks just like ours, Chester. But our peeps are not removing ice in the driveway and walkways and it's sure slippery! Be very careful!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots♥

Glad it is getting warmer and so hope Spring finds you soon. Have a marvellous Monday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
OMD OMD OMD MUD is right UNDER that Snow.... Mud is the New Black... MUD is the BEST COLOR Ever.
ReplyDeleteBRING IT ON....
I got VERY muddy paws on my walkies yesterday Chester and they stuck me in the sink to wash them when we got home. It's so undignified for a Princess.....can I come over and join you in the snow please? We can gaze at 'Chester's moon' together then!

If you come visit me, you'd better make it soon! Today it's 40º out and the snow is melting, the sun is nice and warm. The birdies are singing and all the icicles fell down this morning. I'm sure we'll be looking at some mud by the end of the week.
DeleteGhostwriter always says cocker spaniel feet are mud-sponges because we have fur between our toes. If someone tells me I have dirty feet, I run upstairs and jump into the bathtub. Joey dog thinks baths are horrid, but I love to play in the water!
Those weather humans get paid a lot of $$ to guess
