Daylight Savings Time

Good morning friends and fans everywhere. This is The Daily Bone and I’m your erudite doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel along with my venerable colleague Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel.

Yesterday the humans did something totally ridiculous. They changed their clocks one hour forward. That means that ghostwriter had to get up at what seemed to be 4AM to get ready for work yesterday. Needless to say, Joey and I didn’t even look up, budge, or roll over when she came stumbling downstairs to get her coffee, which wasn’t ready yet because Dad forgot to adjust the coffee maker timer! Getting up at 5AM is bad enough. But 4? Upon going to work, her coworkers were equally tired and grumpy, and the little old people at the nursing home were all confused about their daily activities and meal times.

There is no real reason for Daylight Savings Time any more. So we doggies would like to propose a much superior system: Doggie Standard Time.

When it's light out, wake up!

When it's dark out, go to sleep!

Problem solved!

    1. We doggies don't look at the clock when it comes to nap time either! If you're sleepy, take a nap. Maybe the humans should do that too, and then the world would be a better place.

  8. Amen to your time workings!

Growlmy says the peeps she looks after were not wanting to go to bed ...too light and some even thought it was lunch time, and not dinner...at 5 pm...the old 4pm.......and later in the fall, they all want to go to bed as soon as they finish putting down their forks!
Why does the national time keeper want to mess peeps up so bad...and pus too...growlmy's child hood pup was the 'guard dog' in her father's shop, and he would still be fast asleep when they would come in there to get him the first fee mornings after the time change...and bark like mad if he thought they were too late when the clocks were set back...
which brings up another sore point...growlmy's pawppy was a clock maker and there were oh so furry many clocks to change...OMD!

  9. We agree. Just pick one. Forget about advancing the clock by one hour or turning the clocks back one hour. There are much bigger issues in the world that actually need fixing. This stupid time thing is not one of them.

  11. Dear Chester and Joey,

We like daylight saving time! (Our person not so much.) But for us, it means Breakfast comes earlier! And Walks come sooner! And then all of a sudden it is Dinner! And then bed time comes earlier too! (We love bed time!)
