Evil Squirrel Cartel Invades Hawthorns

Hello friends and fans everywhere. This is The Daily Bone and I’m your diligent doggie correspondent Chester L. W. Spaniel.

We have some cold, windy, snowy weather around here. This morning, there were two squirrels in the hawthorn tree eating up all the berries!

My esteemed colleague Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel and I zoomed out to chase them away.

No sooner had we gone indoors, when they were back to their diabolic thievery! Here I am dashing through the snow! Go away evil squirrels! Leave the hawthorn berries for the birdies. You have acorns to eat in the next yard over!

Wow! It's cold out there! I came right back into the house promptly after that foray!

The snow hadn’t even melted off my nose when I had to go out and chase them yet again!

It's going to be a long day!

Um, excuse me, but are you planning to eat that last bite of bagel? Because we doggies are going to need some energy to chase those squirrels in the freezing cold today.

TDB Florida Edition

Hi there! This is Miss Charlee Puppy reporting on location in sunny Boca Raton. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here. Too bad we don't have any snow! Perhaps Buffalo would consider sending some of their mountains of snow to us.

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE

Important update: At 4:30PM the Stodgy Robin Society finally showed up to eat the hawthorn berries. What took you so long?

  6. What???? Robins????? Aren't they supposed to fly south for the winter? Maybe those tree rats will become frozen tree rats! Good job, guys! But that's a lot of snow. I never even saw snow before living in Florida... :(

    1. Sometimes robins stick around for the winter and eat berries. There are lots of wild grapes that grow around here too that birds live on. Never park under a flock of starlings in winter. They will cover your can with purple poop!
