When You're Smiling

Good morning. This is The Daily Bone and I’m your cheerful doggie host Chester L. W. Spaniel along with my affable colleague Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel on World Smile Day. We’ve been enjoying some great smiley face pictures on our friends’ doggie blogs, so here are our smiling faces too:

Our ghostwriter says that sometimes, when she thinks about smiling, she remembers a certain beer TV commercial. If you grew up in the 60s and 70s in Buffalo, Niagara Falls, or in Ontario you might remember it too. She couldn't find it on youtube, but it goes like this:

When you're smiling,
When you're smiling,
The whole world smiles with you.
So when you're smiling.
Say Labatts Blue,
The true blue lager beer!

Here's a video that will make you smile too:

Now that's the proper way to play fetch!

    4. Thanks fur the info,Zaidie! Canadian flags make growlmy feel sort of homesick, esp when she sees them here in Michigan.
Toronto fur growlmy hardly evfur is in her doings anymore, she mostly goes s far as Brampton, where my Great untie lives. That lady will be 95 in about a month! My own auntie & doggy cousin live in Milton. That's not too far from Cambridge.

I will tell growlmy to at least wave really hard or honk her horn when she passes by the Cambridge exits!

    7. It's a small world, you guys! My ghostwriter grew up in Niagara Falls NY. Now she lives south of Rochester NY. She hasn't been to Toronto in a long, long time. Too long. Maybe a trip is in the future. Oh, she says when she was young, she and her friends used to ride their bikes over the Rainbow Bridge (not the doggie one!!) to Canada for a dime. No passports needed. How times have changed.

    8. A few years ago, growlmy Auntie and a cousin from Europe walked across that Bridge...passports, visa and all were closely checked nd $$ had to leave their pockets, too...sigh...
You know, the park on the US side is so peaceful and lovely compared to the commercialized Canadian side. They loved it over there, and when they walked back to the Canadian side...it was like going into another world.
