Good morning loyal viewers. This is The Daily Bone and I’m your concerned doggie host Chester L. W. Spaniel along with my worried colleague Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel. Warning! Today we will be addressing a serious world issue.
I haven’t done any political articles in quite a while. For one thing both Joey and I think politics has gotten rather picayune and petty lately, without much actually happening. Probably because all our elected officials are going on vacation. I’m sure things will pick up towards September.
However, we cannot ignore all the horrible atrocities going on in a certain part of the world in the country of Iraq. My ghostwriter has a saying, “holy war is an oxymoron.” Think about it.
I have said many times before that human religion is something my doggie brain cannot quite comprehend. But I’m sure it’s mostly about being kind and generous to others, being thankful for your blessings, and establishing rules for moral behavior. Since when is mass execution and selling young women and girls into slavery moral behavior?
How can any country in the civilized world stand by and ignore this barbaric, terrorist activity? We urge all you doggies out there and your humans to contact your elected officials and religious leaders and express your concern about this terrible, horrifying situation.
What is this world coming to?
Here's a video my ghostwriter likes to watch at times like this. It's a reminder that we are all part of this big, amazing, beautiful, wonderful Earth, and makes us wonder why we all can't just get along.
Peace out. |
Well said. Peace. Sadly that is not the case and it too makes us sad.
