Alien Invasion and Fighter Jets Too!

This is a TDB News Flash. I'm your fervent doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel along with my watchful associate Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel.

It's time for the annual alien invasion by the evil Empire. Just before this happened ghostwriter lured us doggies into her office with yum yum doggie treats, and then shut the door. (Don't worry, she stayed with us in her office and let Dad deal with the trespassers.) We could only imagine what was going on inside our house! Through the heating vent we could hear banging and clanging and what sounded like a screaming dragon!

We commenced to bark and bark and bark!

Bark bark growl woof woofwoof barkbarkbark bark woof woof howl woof bark bark bark bark!

I think we were noisier than Noisy Neighbor Dude across the street, who comes out of his house every day shouting or singing about something, or else beeping the car horn, or both. Sometimes he barks back at us too! "Hey Noisy Neighbor Dude! Come help with the space invaders!"

Quiet now. I'm listening and sniffing under the door. There's a big guy talking to Dad! Growl grrrrr!

When they finally left, we discovered these strange magnetic things stuck on the fridge.

No rest for the weary, though. When we went outside there were fighter jets flying around!

Wow! What a noise they made! You could feel the Earth rumble underfoot!

Ghostwriter said they were really hard to photograph. They fly so fast, that by the the time you hear them, they're already gone! Most of her pictures looked more like this one below:

Or this:

We found out that these are the US Navy Blue Angels. (Last year we saw the USAF Thunderbirds.)

Look at them go!

Hooray for our US Navy fighter jets!

We are patriotic doggies!

Wonders didn't cease after that. This nice little house finch peeked in the window to say hello:

Peek-a-boo! What's so hard about flying?

  6. We had those Blue Angels here one summer, too. And the Thunderbirds and the Canadian snowbirds even:)

This year when the air show is going on...growlmy has to be at her work, the whole time, sheesh. Maybe she will catch a glimpse when they practice over our area.

    Perty burdie!! What an expression:)
