High Point Of The Day

Hello. Chester L. W. Spaniel here with The Daily Bone.

It's been another crazy, busy day here at my house! The morning started with a stink bug. A reminder to doggies and kitties: they're called stink bugs for a reason. Leave them alone! Ghostwriter flicked this one right out the door! But that wasn't the high point of the day.

Ghostwriter found a tiny remnant of her formerly impressive Asian lilies still trying to grow in the front yard garden patch. Look what these red lily beetles did to it! They received a proper fate for the damage they did: their semi-smushed bodies were placed on an ant hill. Bwahahaha! But that still wasn't the high point of the day.

Dad and Ghostwriter have been trimming dead branches off the bushes and trees. I had a great time crawling through the big pile of them. But that wasn't the high point of the day either.

Dad cooked some Italian sausages on the grill. My esteemed colleague Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel, Doggie Chief Inspector and founder of the Yum Yum Coalition, supervised this project. However, this was not the high point of the day. It came close, though.

The dandelions have turned all fluffy …

… and the peonies have buds (and ants) on them.

High point of the day? Meh.

No, it wasn't the baked pasta with a fresh green salad, and caramel gelato for dessert, although Joey might beg to differ.

So by now, I bet your really wondering what the heck the high point of the day was. I won't keep you waiting any longer. Without further ado, we present to you the high point of the day! He's the center of attention, and he knows it!

Wow! That was fun!

Snoorrrrrrrrrrrrk!
