Pretty Pictures On Monday

Hello. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your hardy doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.

It's been snowing lightly almost all day today. As much as ghostwriter doesn't like snow and cold, she says it does make for some pretty pictures.

Flying jay.

Cardinal.

Two jays.

Dove.

Icicles.

Cone flower seed heads.

Woodpile and hawthorn berries.

Squirrel.

Hey! No squirrels allowed!

  2. Loved those pictures! You have way more snow that we do here.
That last image is so Christmasy! Looks like the berries decorated the evergreen tree! (A little camera trickery?? BOL!) Just right for this season:)

    1. We've been waiting for just the right time, with snow to contrast, to take a picture from under the hawthorn tree looking towards the pine tree so that it looks like the berries and snow are actually decorating it like a Christmas tree. Last year we had hardly any hawthorn berries. This year we have tons of them!

    2. It is amazing how you did that! Do the cedar waxwings like to gobble up those berries?

  3. We had snow here too. We were not as euthasastic as you are. I don't know where our birds went. They all flew the coop

I have snow here too, I love the snow but don't like the ice as I slide around everywhere like Bambi, Max likes the Snow too, he had never seen any before, this was his first snow and this will be his first Christmas!

  7. Oooooooo...It is beautimous! Mama really loves the cardinal in the snow...for some reason we don't see many cardinals here in Northy North California and we rarely see snow!

  11. Crikey Chester .... I popped in just in time, aye?? SNOW!!!!!!! Oh my ..... how beautiful is that??? AND that last tree with the red flowers. Mum had a bit of troubling working out if they were flowers or berries on it but she said ..... 'what the heck .... who cares ...... it's beautiful anyway'. Crikey I've missed you Chester. I think I've know you since the very day you became part of Blogville and now ... look at you .... you so belong here. I would have liked to send you my Christmas card but I don't have your email address so I'll do a post and include it shortly. Merry Christmas to you and all your wonderful family.
