This is a TDB fast breaking news story. I'm your heroic doggie reporter and local insect-wrestling legend Chester L. W. Spaniel. I am live and on location in the corner by the front door where another devious stink bug has invaded our domicile! That's the second one this month!
I don't know where this one came from. Maybe the coat closet. But no matter!
I will once again save the day by vanquishing the foul beastie! I will begin by barking at it.
Bark bark bark bark bark bark bark woof bark bark! |
Next I will attack with my power paw!
Pa-pa-pa-pow!
Followed by the jaws of death!
Arrrgggh!
Ptooie! Blah blah blah! Yuck!
Man, I hate these nasty, smelly bugs!
I'm happy to announce that I disabled the odorous arthropod, so that ghostwriter could catch it and throw it outside. Hopefully Dad finished it off with the snow blower he was using to clear the driveway. Just in the nick of time, the Town of Henrietta snow plow went by too!
Hooray! That old stink bug must be rolling in a snow bank by now!
No need to thank me! But a chewy yum yum doggie treat will certainly help!
(Yes, I know I should just leave those kinds of bugs alone. But I consider it my dog-given responsibility to rid our home of these horrid, stinky invaders by means of epic battle. Just so you know, these winter stink bugs aren't as powerfully pungent as they are in summer.)
Oh, and one more thing. I almost caught an evil squirrel today too!
Zoom! |
Perhaps you should open your own extermination company

ReplyDeleteYou almost got a squirrel? Well done you! I think I will just have another nap while Mara and Gera prepare some of the dishes for Opa and Oma (that's Mara's Papa and Mama). *Yawn*

We've been finding those offensive bugs in our house too. Our mom likes to drown them by flushing them down the toilet.
ReplyDeleteWe need you here, Chester, those bugs are looking for heated rooms to let but we don't think petcretary wants them as tenants not only are they freeloaders, as you say...they stink!
