Saturday With Joey Dog

Hello fellow foodies! This is The Daily Bone and I'm your culinary expert doggie reporter
Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel.

It's been great weather for grilling! Take a look at this perfect steak with mushrooms, wild rice, and steamed vegetables. Yum yum! But our humans haven't been cooking much this week. It's mostly been scrounge night: left-overs, a quick sandwich, or snacks.

But ghostwriter tried a new home made doggie food experimental recipe for me! It's turkey soup with sweet potatoes, regular potatoes, and a bit of rice, with a fresh pear slice on top. I like it, but I think it's making my allergies flare up. We'd better go back to the beef recipe one.

In other news, it's been hot and dry all week now.  Many of ghostwriter's flowers and plants are drying up. We need a good, long rain!

But at 6PM some dark clouds moved in. The temperature dropped, and it's super windy. We've still only seen a few scattered raindrops, though!

And now it's time for our food watching funnies!

Oh, and don't forget to send in your flapping ears photos to Christinersrn at gmail dot com for the Blogville Pawlympics Ear Flapping Challenge! The dead line is July 15!

Finally, we doggies have noticed there's been a lot of bad news on the TV lately. We wonder why the humans can't just learn to get along!

  8. Dear Joey,

It is wet here. Maybe we will send you some of our rain so your person's plants don't die. Also we are tired of the rain. Your meals look tasty, did you save any for me?

    Cobi
