Hi everyone. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your wilting doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.
Wow, has it ever been hot around here! The grass is turning brown and we have to water the flowers every day. Here are a few that are blooming despite the heat:

The hot wind dried up our beautiful clemetis flowers, and the Japanese beetles are busy chewing up the roses, and the birch leaves too.
In other news, this truck rolled slowly by yesterday. It was 90 degrees out! Those poor guys walking along behind the truck on the hot pavement were drawing squiggly black lines all over the road. Ghostwriter said they were sealing the cracks with tar.
And now I'd like to remind everyone about our Blogville Pawlympics Ear Flapping Challenge. We have some amazing entries already, but need more. The deadline is July 15!
