Hello everyone. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your dry doggie host Chester L. W. Spaniel.
Ghostwriter has a weather app on her cell phone that's always wrong! In fact, if it rained every time it predicted rain, we'd be floating away on Noah's Ark by now! Not only that, it also gives little helpful hints about what to do or wear during said rainy weather. I'm going to list a few of those bits of moronic advice paired with what it's really like around here lately.
Weather app says: Get out the wet weather gear. Rainy all evening.
What we got was: Desiccated daisies!
Weather app says: Rainy afternoon. Watch out for slippery roads.
What we got was: Dried up roses.
Weather app said: Leave the rain boots on. Rainy all day today.
What we got was: Dehydrated stonecrop. (This stuff is supposed to thrive in dry weather!)
Weather app says: Clouds and thunderstorms all day. An umbrella may help.
What we got was: One little cloud that kind of looks like a little doggie running and looking back over his shoulder.
Weather app says: Humid and drizzly. Try to keep hydrated.
What we got was: Crispy deep fried snow-on-the-mountain.
Weather app says: Cloudy all day. Sunscreen is still important.
What we got was: Clemetis gone to seed.
You've GOT to be kidding me!
It seems like there's a malicious little green gremlin writing up those weather predictions. Some of ghostwriter's flowers are doing well despite the dessert-like conditions.
There's one good thing about that weather app: it's accurate about what time the moon rises.
Oh and here it is now! Time to call my dearest Princess Leah!

This is the last day to send your photos in for our Blogville Pawlympics Ear Flapping Challenge!
Weather app says: Big temperature swings tomorrow. Wearing layers may help. (OK, we were just joking about that one! But check out the ear flappage in this photo!)

We interrupt this program for an important TDB fast breaking news story. We're your soggy doggy reporters Chester L. W. Spaniel and Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel.
For once, the weather app is RIGHT! It actually rained!
It came down hard for about fifteen minutes. However, it then promptly cleared up. At this time, the sun is shining again. At least ghostwriter didn't have to water the plants!
We now return you to your regularly scheduled program.

Thank goodness you are able to show us your pretty flowers instead of being on the ark

Our weather people must go to the same weather school, they are wrong more than right, moms flowers looks like your moms flowers. We need rain and we need 70's weather and not 90's+ weather, we are whiney.....stella rose
ReplyDeleteThat's really odd. Are you getting someone (a different city) else's weather forecast? If not, then I guess the weatherperson there is probably using their Ouija board
ReplyDeleteGhostwriter just keeps that app because it's funny.
DeleteOur weather apps are rarely right. They did get that it would be very hot this week right!
ReplyDeleteWell, at least you do still have some pretty flowers. Sometimes it is best not to rely on those weather fools and just watch the skies:)
ReplyDeleteWoos - Ciara and Lightning
Wonderful photos and beautiful flowers!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,

Yay for the lilies and the day lilies!
ReplyDeleteWe hope you get some rain soon! Hopefully the weather app will get it right soon!
ReplyDeleteMonty, Harlow and Ramble
Our mom must have the same phone app. She keeps shaking her head at some of the things it recommends especially for what to wear outside. We sure hope we get some decent rain soon.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like it! It's like they're advising people who have never been outside before! One winter day, it said there will be snow, and that everyone should come home early. Imagine that! Ghostwriter saying she's leaving the nursing home in the middle of the shift because the weather app said so! She just keeps the app because it's so funny!
DeleteOur mom has two weather forecast apps on her phone and each one tells her an opposite prediction!!! So no more apps!!
ReplyDeleteGeeeer.... We kept reminding her to sent in pics to Christmas but .... Suppose it's too late. ;(
Sorry!!
