Greetings fellow doggies, kitties, hermit crabbies, and good friends! This is The Daily Bone and I'm your fluffy doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.
Our ghostwriter has been limping around on her painful knees for the last few years. She finally had some x-rays taken and they showed that there was severe osteoarthritis in both of them. Well, today she got some joint juice (Synvisc) put into her left knee with a big needle. (She said it didn't hurt at all.) She reports now, the knee feels a lot less painful and hardly grinds at all when she moves it. Next week she'll get another shot in her left knee and one in her right knee too. Maybe after a couple weeks of shots, she'll get back to taking me for a walk.
In the meantime, please don't forget to get your pictures sent to us for our Blogville Pawlympics Ear Flapping Challenge. Here's a list of participants so far:

Hmmm, Mom says that joint juice sounds interesting. Her knees aren't so great either. Hope the shots help yours a lot - she must be on her feet a lot at work.
ReplyDeleteSorry, no ear flapping here, our ears are as stiff as boards:)

Crikey ... What was that joint juice again??? Mum needs that for every joint in her body. She's going to look into it. Now as for the ear flapping ...... Mum's gone through all our photos and it seems I'm not much of an ear flapper but I'll see what I can do.
ReplyDeleteGlad the joint juice seems to help. Mom needs something for her hip.

Bummer. Our mom was hoping that ghostwriter might be drinking the juice instead of it being injected. We are so happy to hear that it's helping!
ReplyDeleteMom has those shots in her knees too - she has RA and Lupus and they help a lot. We hope she feels like taking you walkies again soon. We looked at out photos but sadly our ears don't flap so we didn't have anything to send
ReplyDeleteWishing your mum well with her treatment.
ReplyDeleteWe have a lot of blonde squirrels around where we live, and the red ones, not to many gray or black ones. hope momma gets to feeling better real soon. stella rose
