Monday Evening News

Greetings friends and fans. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your diligent doggie reporter
Chester L. W. Spaniel.

It's the first day of Summer. Hooray! That means it's the longest day of the year and the shortest night too. This year it just happens to fall on a full moon as well.

I'm going to be looking out for the moon tonight if our weather cooperates. Hopefully I'll get to have a nice long talk with my dearest Princess Leah, who, by the way, agreed to go to the dance at Christmas's place in August. My esteemed colleague Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel will be attending with our good friend, the lovely Momo. Leah and Momo, please send your photos to:

Moon and planets last night.

Now here's a word from Joey dog:

Hello. I've been watching my pear tree in the back yard carefully. It seems there aren't very many pears growing this year. Both Chester and I will be keeping a careful watch on them so that the Evil Squirrel Cartel doesn't steal them.

Fortunately, our favorite miniature human, Ryan, came over to visit yesterday and thought up an ingenious plan.

He drove his dump truck over to the other side of the yard and collected some pine cones. He then placed them on the branches of the pear tree. The squirrels will be fooled into thinking that this is a pine tree, and that they can eat the seeds from the pine cones instead of the pears.

You see? What a great idea! Now back to you Chester! Chester?

It looks like Chester's taking a nap before the moon comes up!

Good night everyone!
