Greetings! This is The Daily Bone and I'm your dedicated doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.
Yesterday, ghostwriter went to work at 3pm for an evening shift (3-11:30pm.) Right away they told her there was no night shift nurse (11pm to 7:30am.) Arghhh! Everyone expected her to be the one to break down and volunteer to do yet another double overnight shift. But this time she said NO! (Those overnight shifts mess her up for three days afterwards!) It was somebody else's turn this time! Hooray!
Besides, she had to take my erudite colleague Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel to the vet today.
He's back up to a normal weight. The lymph glands around his neck and throat area are still a bit swollen, but there are no swollen ones anywhere else in his body. He got a shot, and a blood test, and his ears cleaned out real good. He does have a heart murmur that's getting slightly worse, but he has no symptoms or coughing. The vet said he's doing pretty well for an old guy!
He also got to eat just about all the liver treats in the place!
Oh, I found a funny I just HAD to share with you:
On a Claire Day
Bwahahahahahahahaha!
OMD!! We giggled and guffawed a lot!!
ReplyDeleteGlad the vet gave a good report for you, Joey:)
We sure were glad to hear that your ghostwriter said no for a change...
Glad Joey got a good report and hope those glands go down. Hooray for Ghostwriter standing up for herself. If you say yes all the time, they just assume you will be there. Good to throw them a curve once in a while AND take care of yourself.

ReplyDeleteHappy for the good news for Joey!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a great day, Joey! yay☺
ReplyDeleteI love this blog! It is written really well and interesting. I'm glad that Joey got a good report back from the vet. There's always an anxious wait before the vet manages to tell you that everything is alright and there's nothing to worry about. But thankfully all is good. I hope Joey stays healthy. Good luck!
