Hi there friends and doggies. I’m Chester L. W. Spaniel and this is The Daily Bone.
My esteemed colleague Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel and I have done two stories in the spirit of the classic video “Sad Dog Diary.” It was fairly easy to imitate the morose tone and feeling of ennui and helplessness of this video. We could do a whole series of these, and probably even get ZeFrank to narrate them. For example, today we were filled with sadness because, after the wonderful, wonderful blizzard, it has once again turned warm, and now the snow is rapidly melting.
Every footstep that we sank into the mushy snow seemed hopeless and depressing. Soon our footpads were soaking wet. We could hardly believe that what was only yesterday light, fluffy, sparkly, and crisp was now friable, and slushy. I did a head plant in the snow bank here just to find out if there was any trace left of the glittery powder of yesterday to no avail.
This might be the last big snow fall of the year and it’s shrinking fast. Oh how we will miss leaping through the snow. Sigh …
OH WELL!
It'll be back next year!
