Snow Squalls

Hello ladies and gentlemen, doggies and kitties, and other lovable life forms. This is The Daily Bone with a Western NY weather update. I'm your chilly doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.

Today the winds have changed. Now we're having something called snow squalls. These are sudden, brief, intense, periods of snow fall accompanied by high winds. 

Here come the snow clouds! See the snow falling from them already?

Then it snows and blows like crazy for twenty minutes! 

Then it's all done, until the next squall hits.

If nothing else, the winter weather here is always interesting. 

The high winds knocked a big branch off the tree. I helped to pick it up. 

Don't worry, I'll break it down into smaller pieces!

See? I snapped off the end.

Oh, and I have an update on our dear Oma who's in the hospital after she fell and hit her head Friday morning. She's still doing OK. Ghostwriter is driving to Niagara Falls tomorrow morning to see if the doctors will let Oma go home yet. 

In the meantime, ghostwriter's not going anywhere!
