Fat Squirrels?

Hello fellow doggies. This is a TDB Special Report. I'm your scientific doggie reporter
Chester L. W. Spaniel. I'm live and on location at my drive-through barking window.

Squirrels are getting fatter! Yes it's true! You may recall certain pictures I've posted recently on The Daily Bone of our local squadron of the Evil Squirrel Cartel.

Here's alias Twinkletoes who's shown up twice now demanding a peanut butter sandwich.

This fat forager below was seen poking around our yard along with his two porky pals yesterday!

A few days ago Fatty White-ears was gorging on fallen birdie seeds.

Even Little Dog Lost cartoonist Steve Boreman thinks the squirrel obesity problem in 2016 is getting out of hand.

Apparently the mild weather and lack of snow cover is enabling squirrels to forage more, and use their stored body fat less. Hmmmm. There's one right now.

I'd be more than happy help them out with their diet and exercise program!

Zoom!

  1. You know it is just their thick winter coats making them look chubby - that is what we tell our Mom all the time when she says we are looking chubby :)

  2. We think the birds are feeding them!! They kick that food all over the place in hopes that the squirrels will protect them!

  9. I keep seeing a naughty black squirrel dude running back and forth from the field across from here to the trees in the neighbor's yard...(He doesn't dare come in mine...), and if he isn't carefur, he will not be fat anymore, but a flat pancake...squirrel pancake, with maple syrup?? Hmmm, that might make me fat, BOL!
