Hello loyal readers and food fans. This is The Daily Bone. It's time for Saturday With Joey Dog. I'm your culinary expert doggie host Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel, Doggie Chief Inspector, comestibles department, and founder of the Yum Yum Coalition. I hope that the new year finds you happy and healthy and feasting on a plentiful supply of yum yum treats!
To answer your first question: yes, the snow is still here!
In fact it's coming down in tiny pellets this morning.
As you know, my favorite subject to report on is food! So here we go! Dad and ghostwriter went to a new restaurant for lunch on New Years Eve. It's called Coco Garden and features Malaysian food.

Roti Canai appetizer. |
Mango shrimp and coconut rice. |
Fried bananas. |
They say they will have to go back there a few times to be able to sample all of the interesting dishes. They brought home some coconut rice for me! Yum!
We also had some familiar comfort food meals at home for the last few days.
Ham, baked potato, sweet potato, and steamed vegetables. |
Chicken and biscuits. |
In other news, our Joanna human took a walk around Mendon Ponds Park a few days ago, where it was very serene and beautiful. Here are some photos she took:
Ghostwriter, who always seems to have her head in the clouds, wanted to show you this picture of the clouds looking like choppy waves on the lake.
She also recently spotted a couple digging machines across the street of the nursing home where she works. She took a picture of them for our favorite miniature human, Ryan, who loves trucks.
Speaking of Ryan, he's been very busy with his toys in his intergalactic playroom.
With his Dad's help, he built this really cool parking garage for his assorted motor vehicles.
My impulsive associate Chester L. W. Spaniel found a western conifer seed bug in the house. Before he commenced to do battle this arthropod, ghostwriter picked it up and tossed it outside. Will Chester ever learn to leave these bugs alone? I doubt it!
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! |
Oh, and here's a great video I thought you might like!
Time for napping now.

Hi hi hi! Ojo here! Look at your little bit of snow! And FOOD! Yum!
ReplyDeleteThe temperature was warm when our snow hurt our feet. It had been cold, like five or six degrees below zero, and then suddenly it warmed up right to freezing and those weird crystals formed, and the snow balled in our toes instead of falling off like it did before. Fortunately it got better. I hope that doesn't happen to you, or to Joey Dog who does not like weird things with his feet!
Me and Nellie like your chicken and biscuits. Maybe we could practise our groakering skills. Love Nellie and Jasper, the two bestest maremmas in all the land.
ReplyDeleteRyan's parking garage is just fabulous! That boy is going places! Fried bananas sound very yummy to us.
ReplyDeleteFantastic report Joey! It was all great! Thanks for sharing :)
