Hello. This is The Daily Bone and we're your empathetic doggie reporters Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel and Chester L. W. Spaniel.
As you may know, our ghostwriter has been sick and missed several days of work at the nursing home this week. She's better now and went into work yesterday morning only to find out that yet another one of her dear old people had passed away. That makes eight in the last two months! She usually takes these things in stride because she knows it's a natural part of life, especially working with a geriatric population. Then she received a note addressed to her personally at the nursing home. It was from the family of a lady who had passed just before Christmas. They said thank you for all the good care she had given to the lady, and to them too, especially in the last three days of her life. Ghostwriter says it's now time for a good cry, not just because she's sad about all the people who've passed, but because someone said thank you in writing to her for doing a good job.
You know, Chester, sometimes these humans are very hard to figure out!
