October Now

Hello everyone. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your dedicated doggie reporter
Chester L. W. Spaniel.

Sorry we've been away for a while. My ghostwriter has been working a lot of overtime lately at the nursing home.

Oma is doing well. Ghostwriter was finally able to bring her outside into the nursing home special memorial garden. (For the past several weeks there was a wasp nest by the door that lead to the garden, so no one could go out there. It's finally gone now.)

The weather has changed dramatically. We went from hot and humid, with blue skies, and big puffy white clouds,

to cold, dreary, and rainy! This sunset looks like a scene from the X-Files!

Blah!

The moon peeked through the gloom for a little while some days ago.
It had kind of a spooky look to it, though.

Boo!

But thankfully, things are supposed to warm up later this week. We should be seeing some beautiful Fall colors soon.

I think I'll just rest up until then.

  1. Oma looks pretty content there. It must be good for her to able to get outside.

We had some chilly weather last week, but the hot and humid is back now. Not real bad, but we miss the cooler temps.

  3. We have had the residents at petcretary;s workplace outside on our wonderful patio a lot this summer. One of the more agile ladies who lives there has been very diligent in keeping it looking and growing well. The many varieties of flowers are so bright and cheerful! There have even been mini harvests from some of the raised planters, and the sunflowers are now attracting many birds..and squirrels. I, Dalton thinks that the CEO who has the facility's therapy dog should let 'Norman' have at those varmints. That would give the residents lots of thing to discuss later when they gather to eat their meal in the dining room, BOL!

We have had several damp and dank days in a row, too wet to mow the lawn here; which needs it badly...sigh...remember in the summer we were grumbling about the grass being crunchy? Now its soggy...

Its good to see your Oma looking well and happy outside in the sunshine. Boo to wasps! How dare they impinge on the pleasures of others.

It was about 60 here today, by Wednesday its supposed to be in the 80's. Go figure.

  6. Your Oma sure looks happy to be outside for a while. Having Ghostwriter work overtime probably isn't much fun for you but it does give her more opportunities to check up on Oma. We're looking forward to the coming warm up too.

  13. Good to see Oma looking so well.

The weather here has been changing every day. Some days it's really cold and on other days you can go about in shorts! Madness I say, madness...

  14. Chester L. W. Spaniel you know what they say about the weather "If you don't like the weather just wait a few minutes and it'll change." It is nice to see a nursing home have an outside area.
