It's Cold Again!

Hello everybody. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your hearty doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel. 

To paraphrase ghostwriter, it's friggin' cold out today! Once again the tricky Western NY weather has played us for fools! Just when we thought it would be getting nice out, a cold front moved in! 

The sky is gray and dreary, and there's a chilly wind whipping around. Therefore we're going to take you to our North Carolina associate Angus B. Terrier where it's actually warm and spring-like.

Hello Chester. As you know, Oma came to visit here for a few weeks. I spent a lot of time sitting out on the porch with her watching the birdies and flowers.

The other day I went to visit some of my doggie friends. Here they are with my Linda human. The cavalier is named Bella and she likes to chase carpenter bees. The other pup is a cockerpoo named Sulley who likes to play fetch.

Here's another one of my friends named Stella.

I've also been keeping an eye out for the Evil squirrel Cartel who have been trying to build their outposts in the trees around my yard. My humans have been blasting them with a super soaker. 

After a good run in the grass, and a visit to the pond to see the turtles,

I think it's time for a nap. 

Oh, and be sure to say happy birthday to my Linda human today. She says she's turning thirty again. Not sure how that works out in doggie years.

Thanks Angus. I have an update on ghostwriter and her recovery from the knee surgery. She's been using just one crutch to get around, and she's complaining about being really bored. She says she would love to go outside and pull the weeds from the garden, or rake over the compost pile, or take a nice walk around the block. She even misses working at the nursing home! 

Gee, I'd better think up some trouble, and think it up quick!
