Hello loyal readers. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your doggie commentator Chester L. W. Spaniel.
This is ghostwriter's last day off before she has to go back to work. She's been on medical leave since she had to go to the hospital for transfusions. She found out Friday that her blood levels are back to normal, so whatever was bleeding inside her stomach has gotten better. Hooray! She's actually glad to go back because she missed her coworkers and all her little old people at the nursing home.
I'm glad Dad is retired so I won't have to spend a lot of time alone when ghostwriter is at work. We can sit around and watch guy stuff like Battle Bots, Ice Road Truckers, Forged in Fire, This Old House, and Highway Thru Hell! Yeah! I'll just take a nap when he watches the News. Too many awful things happening there! Not to mention mud slinging politics!
Dad worked hard all his life, so ghostwriter says it's OK that he's retired from the rat race.
In other news, we wanted to show you what a nice job the Harris Funeral Home did for us and our Joey dog after he crossed the Rainbow Bridge. His ashes were returned to us in a velvet bag inside a nice wooden box.
We got a copy of his paw print on a nice card, along with a pamphlet on grieving for a pet.
Anyone living in the Greater Rochester area might think about this service, which was offered through our veterinary office, if and when you're faced with a beloved pet dying, like we were.

Finally, here's our random picture of our Angel Joey dog. It was taken in April of 2015.
We also came across a picture of our Angel Miss Ginger who crossed the Rainbow Bridge in July of 2010. Here she's enjoying her favorite sunny spot by the back door.
Chester...WTG having Dad home with you. My Dad retired in 1999(early but he had 33 years with the local power company). I came to live here at the tender age of 2 months old in 2002. So Dad and I were fast day time buds until Mom retired in 2011. We did not know that GW had been so sick but thank goodness she is well now. I know her coworkers will be glad to see her.
ReplyDeleteHarris Funeral Home did a most loving job with Joey Dog.
Kitty kisses to Angel Joey and Ginger

Having time alone with dad is usually the same as having unlimited treats hee . . . hee . . . some things moms don't need to know! Yes, very nice job the funeral home with with Joey.

Glad that Ghostwriter is well, and back at her work. I bet the coworkers were as glad to see her as she was to see her charges. Our peeps are both still working, though pawppy could get himself retired at any time if he wishes, he's been at this job since 1983!
ReplyDeleteGlad you don't have to be alone, Chester.
