Saturday With Joey Dog

Hello. This is The daily Bone Saturday edition, and I'm your culinary expert doggie reporter
Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel.

There was not much happening in the food department since last Saturday. But today Dad got the grill going for the first time this year and made hamburgers! Here they are in their exquisite simplicity:

Yum!

The weather has been crazy. Yesterday it was gray all day and we even had a bit of snow. Today we have bright sun shine but it's cold out.

In other news, here is a picture of an adorable little pug who came to visit someone at the nursing home where ghostwriter works. Her name is Peanut and she was very friendly. Ghostwriter wants to remind everyone that pets like doggies and kitty cats do wonders for people living in long term care, and families should be encouraged to bring them in to visit.

Now I have a few food related funnies to share. This first picture is dedicated to our dear friend Princess Leah. Perhaps she should be careful the next time she has a puppicino!

Finally, our ghostwriter got stuck working a double shift last night, and didn't get home until 5:45AM! My esteemed associate Chester L. W. Spaniel will now demonstrate what she should seriously be thinking about doing next.

Good night!

  1. You Mom must be SO tired. Mom's worked all night before and it is NOT fun, especially for we doggies that have to stay home and wait. Thanks for the cartoons that made us smile.

  2. Poor Mom, she must be worn out with all that work. Bet she was happy Dad made those burgers on the grill. We had burgers on the grill tonight too, and maybe if we are lucky, we will get a taste of the steaks Mom is hoping to grill tomorrow.

    Happy weekend.

  6. We are glad your Ghostwriter stayed to help at the nursing home.
Growlmy says there are lots pf doggies and sometimes a kitty who pay regular visits to their furmily member and even a therapy doggy. Sometimes the visiting pups get to visit other residents as well, that's always fun.

We have to resurrect our grill here one of these days, Mmmm!

  10. What a bummer that your mom had to work a double shift. It sure was nice of your dad to make dinner for all of you. We sure hope you got some of those burgers.
