Hi. This is the Daily Bone and I'm your hasty doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.
Ghostwriter has to go to bed soon. She's on day shift this week, and that means getting up at 5am. So we're just doing a quick story today.
I've been watching a couple of mourning doves today. Do you see them?
They sit very still and pretend they're rocks.
When I run out to see them, they sit wait until the very last moment before flying away.
Now they're pretending to be bumps on the tree.
Good night.
You know, ghostwriter, you really shouldn't be working so many hours!
Those birds do look like rocks! Very clever, but you know they are there...bark Bark BARK!

Oh, we used to have lots of them trying to nest in our planters, butts they found new and better real estate apparently on the next block! no more chasin' them for me! Guess you'll have to do some chasin' for me Chester!
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work! And tells your Moms not to work so much.....☺
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
