Greetings friends and fans! This is The Daily Bone and I'm your earnest doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.
Here in WNY, we can get some really crazy weather changes, especially this time of year. Just when we thought spring had finally arrived, with temperatures in the upper 60s, we got snow! Yes, Thursday morning we awoke to a winter wonderland!
My ghostwriter wasn't amused. In fact, when she first got up and looked out the window, I heard her mutter, "you've GOT to be kidding me!" But then she remembered that snow in April is not unusual. We've even had snow as late as Mother's Day in May. So she put on her boots and jacket, and we went outside to take a look around.
Hey, it's only about an inch! We still have flowers.
The grape hyacinths are starting to bloom. OK, maybe the little daffodils got a bit crushed.
The puppy willows are doing just fine.
I don't mind the snow.
In fact, I think it tastes delicious!
I hope everyone has a happy Easter!
Oh Chester your snow looks FABulous to me! Since we were 87 yesterday, I sure could enjoy some snow roachin' rights about now! BOL!
ReplyDeleteSo glads your blooms made it ~ they are beautifuls!
You have a wonderful Easter my furiend!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
April is the best time for snow because you can play in it and it is gone in a couple of days
ReplyDeleteWe saw a few stray flurries and it was cold, but nothing like what you had!! Oh MY!
ReplyDeleteLove that last image!! Nature is very artistic:)
The snow looks so pretty on the flowers. I agree, Chester - yummm to eating snow!
ReplyDeleteOur 1st year living in Michigan & having moved there in the winter, we were excited to go to the famous
ReplyDeleteMay Fruit & Flowers Parade. Then it was cancelled: due to a very very big snowstorm! Surprise!
But as Molly said, all the flowers peeking through the snow look so so pretty and yes, tell the GW it
will not last that long ... Happy Easter dear friends. Chester, hope the bun-bunny puts a few nice treats in your basket!
Chester OH NO NOT SNOW!
ReplyDeleteMother Nature and Old Man Winter are in need of a serious attitude adjustments. The last two mornings we have had freezing temps but no snow.
Hugs Cecilia
It looks like you got more snow than we did, Chester. We hope your daffy dills can spring back from the weight of the snow.
ReplyDeleteThose are wonderfully unusual Easter pictures, C. So fun! We do hope the snow stops by May, though.
ReplyDeleteLove and licks,
Cupcake

I have never had a peanut butter, banana and honey sammich. Actually never had a p.b and banana sammich either. I like both sammiches but independent of each other.

Yep, we know the feeling, although here it was more hail than snow. Brrrr. Hope your flowers did survive.
