Flower Friday (At Last!!!)

Hello everybody. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your dedicated doggie reporter
Chester L. W. Spaniel.

It finally seems like Spring here in Western New York. The grass is green and the sound of lawn mowers can be heard far and wide. But it has also been raining a lot. Dad bought himself a brand new gigantic roaring dragon loud humongous scary lawn monster mower machine thing that he could sit on while cutting the grass. Ghostwriter was surprised he didn't sink up to his eyeballs on that heavy thing on the soggy lawn.

After he was done with mowing I went outside to look around, and discovered that we FINALLY have some flowers and growing things!

I also found massive amounts of mud!

Do you see my back foot? All four of my feet and legs and my entire belly were covered in nice fragrant black mud. Of course, as soon as  I came back indoors I had to go directly to the bath tub. We had to change the water three times before all the mud washed off! (Don't worry. I like playing in the water in the bath tub, and jump right in.)

Ghostwriter said my feet are like furry mud sponges. Time to call Miss Jacquie the groomer and get my spring buzz cut!

Where are the flowers and beautiful growing things, you ask? I guess we'll have to show you without me in the pictures!

Hostas growing

Forget-Me-Nots

Grape hyacinths (The bumble bees like these.)

Lots of daffodils:

Sweet woodruff

Lily-of-the-valley sprouting

Garden Buddha watching everything grow.

I wasn't allowed outside again until it got dark out. This was so I wouldn't run through the mud again while barking at the Evil Squirrel Cartel and the people and other doggies walking by on the sidewalk. All was not lost, though. I got a delicious yummy super special treat to keep me busy:
a ham bone!

Nom nom nom …

See you later!

  6. It sure is nice to see lots of green things growing out of the ground. We are just a little behind you but are starting to see some shrubs blooming. We don't get to spend much time outside with all the wet weather we've had.

  7. We usually get spring in February but this year we are still waiting. The drought is over in California and at last we are getting lovely flowers like yours.

  8. Your flowers are GORGEOUS! It's lucky you love the tub. With those mud sponges, you'll need it more often than not. Yikes!

  10. So many beautiful signs of the arrival of Spring!!! We have lush green grass (and still some mud). we have had way too much rain. We have a big project happening ina few weeks that involves rocks that will attempt to get rid of most of the mud spots:)

Have a great week with all those Spring flowers.

  11. It is wonderful that you finally have spring but I guess that means rain too. We are supposed to be drenched for the next week so it'll be Treatibles and chillin' for us.
