Nurse Chester

Nurse Chester is still on the job.

Sit. Stay. Heal.

Ghostwriter is getting grumpy and impatient about her knee still hurting a lot. She says her back and arms and hands and shoulders ache from using the crutches, and her butt aches from sitting! I still follow her all around and make sure she doesn't over do things. (I'd better get some major overtime on my next paycheck!)

Oh, one more thing. Since I'm being such a good nurse, ghostwriter gave me some reading to do in my spare time:

  5. I hope Ghostwriter will be up and running again soon. Perhaps you could read to her? That always seems to help.

We had some nice weather yesterday (after nearly a week of rain, rain and rain), but today it's grey again and a lot colder! I think it might be winter soon.

  6. I will send Mackie over and you and ghostwriter can go for a nice long scenic ride with him, Chester! That will get her out of the house and give you both a wee bit of excitement! Feel better soon.

  7. Oh Chester being a caregiver is hard work mentally and physically you need a nap.
I know GW is so used to looking after others so it must be hard for her not to be able to do things for herself. Sending extra kitty kisses and mom hugs

  10. Since Ghostwriter is used to be a very active person, the pain and immobility have to be really bugging her BIGTIME. All we can do is cross our paws for things to start to improve soon. Hang in there, GW.

  11. It's clear to see you're running on high impact, C. You should take an hour off to rest... Wait. What? Every hour Ghostwriter gets behind her is an hour of healing under her belt. She'll be up and running and pain free soon! And you'll be right there to witness it.... But maybe you'll witness it when you wake up. Just as good...

    Love and licks,

  14. Ouchies are not fun for anyone, be they peeps or furs...petcretary wonders why Ghostwriter isn't using a walker instead of crutches. Wouldn't that be easier on the arms?? Sending some doggy licks and kitty purrs along with a lot of that good POTP!
Good thing you are helping so well, Chester!
Petcretary adds her own get well/feel better soon wishes too.

I think trying to read even a page or two of that BIG book of learning would put anyone into dreamland...zzzzzzzzzz.......

  16. Hm. How long do you think it would take you to chew through that book? Maybe you should just pee on it. I think you are a good nurse without it!
