Brain Dead Zombie Monday

Hello. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your steadfast doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.

It's been a boring day! My ghostwriter is a brain dead zombie because she had to work the overnight 11pm to 7am shift last night. She says if she tries to go to sleep when she comes home in the morning after a night shift, she gets nightmares. So she's been awake since yesterday morning! Hopefully she won't have to do another shift like that again for a long time.

Anyway, I kind of kept things quiet around here today.

  1. Smart move buddy. I'd lay low too. My Mom is a crazy lady when she doesn't get enough "beauty" sleep.

  3. Tell ghostwriter that when Mom used to have to pull all-nighters behind the crime scene tape, her chiropractor and acupuncturist both recommended a natural supplement that helps calm nerves and help with sleep. Mom swears by it for those crazy times and it's just natural things in it so no weird side effects (don't ask her about the time she took melatonin and had the dream about being stuck in a elevator with Regis Philbin who was trying to kiss her). https://www.standardprocess.com/Products/Standard-Process/Min-Tran#.WW1j1oTyuUk

  5. Crikey Chester ..... your poor Mom!! I sure hope she gets some sleep tonight. No wonder you're lying low. I would be too. It's always wise to stay away from those brain dead zombies, aye??

  6. We hope your mom can get a good nights rest without any nightmares. We think you should cuddle up to her. Our mom says that always calms her down and she has a very restful sleep when we are snuggling.

  7. Hi Chester, maybe if your mom had a drink. Would that help or would that create really big nightmares?

  11. Hope your Ghostwriter is fixed up today - our Lady is a nightmare if she doesn't sleep (not that she could do a night, she can barely stay up until 10!) That comic is a great sun puddle picture!

  13. I hated night shifts. In fact, I used to fall asleep several times (I was packing biscuits, which yes, I could do in my sleep) and then had a terrible time sleeping during the day. Especially if the weather was really nice. So totally get Ghostwriter. Hope she will be able to sleep very well tonight!

  18. You're very considerate to keep things quite, C. Nobody wants to annoy a zombie. They can be unpredictable.

  19. Poor Ghostwriter. My mom worked the graveyard shift for YEARS and we always had to be super quiet during the day. That shift takes a special mindset.

  20. Petcretary remembers *without* fondness those night shifts of long ago...and that is one reason she now works second shift, BOL!

Hope some restful refreshing slumber happened, without nightmares. Lemon balm, lavender and chamomile help petcretary to sleep better, she says.
