Greetings. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your resolute doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.
First of all, I'd like to tell my good friend Charlie from Down Under, you didn't miss any snow reports. We haven't had any snow, except for a couple slight dustings. It's been unseasonably warm and I think we hit a record high today. Ghostwriter has been worried that the spring flowers will think it's time to start growing again! Maybe that will cheer things up since we're now back to gloom and doom gray clouds and no wind.
Here's a picture of my esteemed colleague Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel and me on December 13, 2014. Look at all the snow we had then!

The warm weather keeps the Evil Squirrel Cartel awake and active. They've been raiding the hawthorn tree and eating up all the berries. I have no idea why they don't eat the ones on the ground. In fact, they throw them on the ground after they've only gnawed on them a little bit. Wasteful buggers!
I spent the good part of the day watching those scoundrels. Rather than just running out barking and giving the squirrels a head start, I've learned how to be more stealthy.
I sneak out quietly at first.
Then …

Oh, here's Fatty White-ears scrounging under the bird feeders. I chased him away too!
Well, at least the sun goes down early, and so do the squirrels.
See you tomorrow!
Wow Chester, you are one pawsome squirrel chaser, Chester!!!

Smart thinking there buddy. Stealth mode is best.
ReplyDeleteGood thinking with the stealth mode. I always get too excited and they see me coming before I ever have a chance! Good work out there!!
ReplyDeleteTucker and Rayne
I need to learn that stealth mode...being a terrier, I am more than a bit impulsive!! BOL!
ReplyDeleteThat snow sure does look lovely! Stoopid wasteful squirrels!
ReplyDeleteWe hope that This year we NEVER have any snow... We HATE it...
ReplyDeleteOH how we remember the last Two winters... butt LAST winter was the Worst...
That is not very good news for us. If YOU don't have any snow, what are the chances we will see any??? We got 2.5 inches of rain yesterday, just think it that had only been snow!!!
ReplyDeleteWoos - Ciara and Lightning
We have been snowing since last night, we have probably 5 inches so far
