Hello. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your trusty doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.
I'm at my post at the drive-through barking window. Take look at who's out there! It's the fat squirrel with the white patches behind his ears.
He's picking up seeds under the birdie feeder. Hey, those seeds are for the little juncos!
Zoom!
I shall now perform a routine border patrol to be sure there are no more miscreants around.
I found a shrew under the rocks here the other night. |
All clear!
We have some really windy weather today. It's supposed to get worse as the day goes on. Then maybe we'll get some snow on Friday. Ghostwriter says, "oh it's just a cold front moving through. It's sure to be 80º by Sunday!" I guess she's ignoring all the clues.
Geese flying. |
Sun trying to peek through the clouds. |
No more leaves here! |
Last leaf on the pear tree. |
Last bit of color on the ground. |
Whatever.
oh we have those rats in our yard also picking up the walnuts so mom won't fall when hers steps on them.....that is why my parents like them.............geeze....they should just pay the grandkids to do it.

I like his name - hahahaha! Good job on patrolling. Stay warm. I am not hopeful for your 80 degrees.

There seems to be a furmily of red-eared-tail-flicking-cussing-chattering tree rats here...and I have to charge back there all the time to keep them from the many walnuts they are trying to steal...even though I hear growlmy grumbling abut all the big yucky walnuts bestrewing the yard under all our messy walnut trees...
ReplyDeleteAnd you do such a great job of keeping your yard safe from their wiles...the tree rats that is; not to mention the shrews...wanna come and evict our moles? I leave those dudes alone, BOL!
