Good evening friends and fans. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your cordial doggie host
Joseph (Joey dog) Stephens.
A couple days ago, we did a story on the pussy willows that were blooming in the back of our yard. Ghostwriter explained that they have a type of a flower called a catkin. You may look this up on line and here is as good a site as any you may find: Catkin They were so named because the flowers looked a lot like cat paws and tails. However, I propose the name be changed to puppy willow. It is my opinion that these pupkins look just as much like puppy paws and tails as cat tails and paws. Allow me to demonstrate:
Can you see the similarity? Especially in the bright evening sun!
Alternately, you might say these catkins look a lot like big fat caterpillars.
They also bear a striking resemblance to a certain type of sea cucumber. Again, say it fast.
All right then! Puppy willow it is!
