Hello. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your perspicacious doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.
I only have time for a quick note, and so tried to find the most important thing I learned today.
On earthsky.org there was this picture:
Notice the constellation Orion is setting. Hooray! Ghostwriter says that is the surest sign the weather will warm up and stay that way. She's usually sad when Orion appears in the Autumn sky.
We'll be watching for this tonight. In the meantime, we got some good photos of the moon last night before it clouded up.
Time's up! Ghostwriter has to go to work now. We're going to catch up on our sleep.
See you tomorrow!
HELLO ORION... you are a MOST WELCOME Sight in the Sky!!!
ReplyDeleteWooHoo Orion's setting so we's getting SUMMER??? YAY

Great moon pics!
ReplyDeleteYou look so snug on your couch. Mom flew years ago (she said she started flying when she was four which explains her age now), and they had to learn celestial navigation as a back up (no GPS) I just know that when I see the stars there's always a constellation that looks like a treat and then I'm hungry.

Orion will go and hunt somewhere else fur a while, BOL!!
ReplyDeleteHave a good nap!
We have seen some beautiful skies lately

Dear Chester,
ReplyDeleteDid you also learn that naps are very important? Oh wait, I think you knew that already! Happy napping!
