Hello everybody. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your dedicated doggie reporter
Chester L. W. Spaniel.
A few days ago I reported that it felt like summer had arrived. But later that day, a thunder storm rolled in and it's been cloudy and cool since.
So today I'm standing in the wet grass and tiny raindrops are tickling my nose.
The rain knocked off most of the pear blossom petals.
Many other flowers are still blooming.
The robins are pulling lots of big slimy worms out of the wet lawn. That baby robin certainly can't complain of being hungry! He gets bigger every day!
Worms! Yuck! |
Oh, and those noisy grackles are still shouting at me!
Time to go back inside before it starts raining harder. One good thing about rainy weather: it's good for napping!
Well, it sure looks like Mother Nature is enjoying all that rain - such pretty blooms. Chester, don't worry - we had all that rain too, but the rest of the week is looking good.

We need an ark here! The pond down the street is way high, and the huge puddles in the fields here are like swimming pools. Conditions only ducks and geese can love, BOL! We might need an ark soon...we've had about 5 inches of rain since Thursday. The
ReplyDeleteThe flowers sure enjoy the rain it seems. Rains sure put an end to the beautiful blossoms, here we had a snowstorm of pale pink petals all around our weeping cherry tree. only good day we had was Saturday...
Bummer about all of the rain, Chester, but it sure is keeping your yard beautiful with blooming flowers!
ReplyDeleteChester from the very first photo to the last I was smiling.
ReplyDeleteLove that sky photo and you my handsome friend imitating a couch potato.
Dear me on the rain. We have rain every day this week. Some areas could potentially get 4-5"
Yikes...

A little rain is okay but too much is no fun. It looks like we're in for a nice stretch of great weather. We hope you get out and enjoy it like we will.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing like napping while it rains outside! Now if I could just get a covered lawn for doing my business in that kind of weather!
ReplyDeleteMom and I have worm-phobia. We would both need a serious nap if we saw birds pulling worms out of the ground. It sounds scary. And exhausting.

What beautiful skies Chester...and colorful flowers too! The skies have been undecided here on the Northwest coast too...it's like April Showers got pushed back to May!

We were loving the feel of summer here too - And the next day when it was cold again, I couldn't find my jacket! Enough napping...for both of us!! Warm weather needs to come back, Memorial Day is around the corner, and as you know that's supposed to be the start of summer!
ReplyDeleteEven though spring was late it looks like you are right on schedule.
ReplyDeleteSend some rain our way Chester, we could really do with some!
