Hello everybody. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your diligent doggie reporter
Chester L. W. Spaniel.
As you can see, we FINALLY have a sunny day! It's even a little warm out too.
We saw in the news yesterday that this has been the coldest month of May in over 100 years! While we in WNY never get our hopes up for nice weather at least until Mother's Day, this is getting to be ridiculous! This picture is our front yard during a squall:
Below is the view from my ghostwriter's car on her drive to work on May 9th. There was rain, snow, graupel, sleet, and hail all coming down at the same time, blown on a fierce wind!
It looks more like early March, than May!
At least Dad finally got a chance to mow the lawn. Our funny neighbor was mowing his lawn last Sunday, when it started to snow yet again! He finally gave up and went inside.
Despite the cold weather, the pear tree is blooming like crazy!
That's all for our report because my ghostwriter has to get ready for work soon. She's been working way too much as far as I'm concerned! But the rest of the staff at the nursing home are working very hard too!
We hope everyone can stay safe!
Wahoo for sunshine!! We hope things stay warm for you!!

ReplyDeleteToday its sunny here, too. Hooray!
It has been a wet and now cold May here. We had to cover all our flowers for three nights now. BUT warm weather and t-storms are right around the corner starting tomorrow:( We thank Ghostwriter for all she is doing to help keep those peeps safe and hope she is careful for herself too.

This weather sure has been crazy lately. We are keeping our paws crossed that your mom (and Oma) stay safe and healthy.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you got some good weather. We are still stuck in March. Enjoy the day.
ReplyDeleteGlad ya got some sunshine!!
ReplyDeleteYou are sure getting some nutty weather, Chester. We hope it doesn't hurt the pear blossoms!
ReplyDeleteMorning Chester!!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all please give GW a great big high five and smooch for being on the front line everyday at work. WOW...here in Raleigh lots of care facilities are unfortunately having way to many virus cases on the very vulnerable.
Good grief WNY knows how to have some serious weather.
I love your photos sniffin' the air and the sun
Hugs Cecilia
I hope the sun will stay out now! Give your GW lots of wags and sloppy kissies from us in California. She's a hero!
ReplyDeleteWe have also had some of the coldest May days ever. I guess it is one way to keep us at home!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know it's been the coolest month of May in over 100 years! Wow... no wonder it's been so chilly and wet. Stay safe and healthy, Chester!!
