Hello. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your spit-shined doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.
Yes, I finally visited my groomer Miss Jacquie for a buzz cut! Here's a picture of me as a "floppy moppy" before the hair cut, just for comparison:
There was enough fur for a whole other doggie!
Getting to my report now, Autumn in WNY is proceeding with super changeable weather. One day it's dark and rainy. The next day it's sunny and clear. The following pictures are from the sunny days.
In contrast to that, Tuesday it was dark and cloudy and raining the whole day. Later in the evening, the sun peeked out from under the heavy clouds. Ghostwriter was just starting her dinner break at work when she saw an amazing sight! A full double rainbow!
Wow!
It was so spectacular and seen by so many people in Rochester and the surrounding area, that all the TV stations and the local newspaper featured it with lots of pictures! Here's a link to the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle report if you want to see more rainbow pictures:
Now, check this out! Today my ghostwriter was running errands when she saw this:
These mall geese were blocking traffic in a busy intersection. Well, they have a lot of nerve!
For my last item, we found a nice picture of my esteemed, late colleague Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel from October, 2015. Wasn't he a handsome guy? We still miss him a lot!
Hi, Chester! You do look spiffy!
ReplyDeleteNow you'll have all winter to grow your furs back for a warm winter jacket:)
Those were pretty fall images, and yes that sure was a spectacular rainbow!
When my peeps go to church they have to go past a park, and sometimes they have to wait for a goose parade too...BOL! (And in MI it is illegal to hit a goose except under some unavoidable circumstances and all geese killed with vehicles need to be reported...we even have sings up in our city!)
Your Autumn beauty is just gorgeous and so is that double rainbow! You look fabulous with your Fall cut, Chester!
ReplyDeleteLookin' good!
ReplyDeleteYou sure lost lots of fur Chester. That rainbow sure was a bright spot at the end of a gloomy day.
ReplyDeleteOur trees are mostly still green so thanks for the beautiful colors.
ReplyDeleteChester your handsomeness nearly took my breath away. OMDs...groomed or ungroomed you are one fine looking friend. The rainbows are amazing.
ReplyDeleteHugs Cecilia
I love your new cut. When you see a rainbow it means that someone at the Bridge is concentrating very hard on their parents
ReplyDeleteLooking good Chester!! Fall sure is looking pretty in your corner of Blogville...and that double rainbow is spectacular!!
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Arty
Those geese must be related to the ducks in my neighborhood! Momma has to stop to let them finish crossing the street all the time.
ReplyDeleteYou live in a furry pretty place, fur sure! I hope you don't freeze in that buzz-cut!
ReplyDeletePerfect title, C. You ARE an autumn beauty with your slick, new haircut. Oh, yes, the trees, rainbow, and Joey are pretty, too. But Hubba Hubba. That haircut wins the day!
ReplyDeleteLove and licks,
Cupcake
Looking good Chester. Such beautiful sights around your area we love the double rainbow and the geese crossing the road

Gosh, your autumn is far more beautiful than ours is this year ... ours was not "colorful" at all ...
ReplyDeleteoh, those sillywillynilly geese (cute to watch but leaving a mess behind) ... and yes, Chester, you're looking mighty handsome with your new-do.
But a special comment ... lovely to see sweet Joey, we remember this beautiful boy, and miss him too!
You still look very handsome with your haircut - Our boy Rhett and Max got one on Monday too. It'll be perfect when the cold months come. But your colors and sun, and especially the rainbow are beautiful --We like the sunny days best!! And by the way, what are those geese doing walking? shouldn't they be flying somewhere about now?? :-)!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd finally, Joey. What a handsome dude!! I'm sorry we didn't get the chance to know him.
