Hello faithful readers! This is The Daily Bone and I'm your soaking wet doggie reporter
Chester L. W. Spaniel.
The reason I'm soaking wet is because there was a thunder storm today.
It didn't last long, and soon the sun came out again.
Of course as soon as the rain stopped I went out in my back yard to explore all the interesting scents the rain brought out.
Wow! It's a swamp over here! So I couldn't exactly help it if I got all wet running through puddles and under dripping plants and bushes!
A Japanese beetle was eating up the petals of this flower! |
There was a little funnel web spider happily weaving her new web in the sunshine.
We were treated to a beautiful sunset.
Can you see the moon peeking out on the upper left side of the photo below? We haven't seen the moon in a long time. (I'd better go out and send a moon message to my dearest Princess Leah.)

Good night!
Your ghostwriter has raised some lovely flowers--oh, and also a lovely dog.
ReplyDeleteIt poured buckets here, too, and pawppy had to take shelter at the airshow, BOL! The planes had to wait for the rain to stop...but then it all cleared up and was a wee bit cooler than yesterday. Petcretary let pawppy go alone to see the F22, as she had too much to do here at home, and to watch us pups, and um...well she saw that plane and some others on the 4th!
ReplyDeleteShe has to work the weekend...if she gets out on time she might be able to see the second fireworks that will go on Sat evening. It might be fun to do!
Love your beautiful flowers with raindrops and the sunset is magnificent! We're supposed to get your rain at my house today, Chester.
ReplyDeleteWe need more rain to break the heat we are under.
ReplyDeleteThat rain did a good job of lowering the temperature. Around here it dropped over 10 degrees by the time the rain stopped. You sure have some pretty flowers and interesting creatures around your yard although we think the Japanese beetle is quite the menace.
ReplyDeleteWe have had a lot of brief thunderstorms too, and lots of soggy grass. Your Mom's lilies are so pretty. Have a great weekend.

You got really into it in the dripping shrubs, C. You were very brave. Getting wet is not my favorite thing to do.
ReplyDeleteLove and licks,
Cupcake
You have such a beautiful corner of the world. We love the flowers and the sun set is awesome. And you got an admiral angel. What could be better.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful and beautiful nature you had this week, Chester!

Hi Chester, glad to see you out and about. Nice flowers and night time photos.
ReplyDeleteWe have to say thank you to our beautiful nature! Chester, I always love the sky pictures! I am sure Princess Leah received your moon message...
ReplyDeletePinot xo
How do you know it's a Japanese beetle? Did it talk in Japanese?
ReplyDeleteKlem, Mara
You have a lot to look at, what pretty flowers!! I also love to go out after the rain too - As do our dogs to see what the rain did. We've had a number of rainbows as well, which of course are always an extra treat from Mother Nature.
ReplyDeleteYou went exploring as soon as the rain stopped? Oh, I HATES going out when the grass is wet! It makes my paws feel weird.
