Greetings! This is The Daily Bone and I'm your cheerful doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.
My ghostwriter is going to do a crazy feat and work three different shifts within three days! Indeed last night she didn't get home until almost 4am. Tomorrow she goes into work at 7am. (She hasn't worked day shift in ages! I hope she wakes up on time!) Then Sunday she'll do an evening shift. (And this is supposed to be her weekend off!) It makes me yawn just to think about it!
But enough about this insanity. We would like to take a few moments to show you some of the flowers we have growing right now.
It's been very hot and windy out lately. All those flowers would be dried out if not for diligent watering by Dad and ghostwriter. Unlike some doggies, I'm not too fond of water shooting out of a hose, so I usually stay indoors during these watering sessions.
One good thing about the weather lately is that the sky has been fairly clear most of the time. The moon happens to be rising in the middle of the day. Here's a picture from around 2pm today. (See the wind blowing the tree branches?)
Here is the moon this evening at 9:30pm. Notice the bright dot underneath it.
That's the planet Jupiter.
Of course, ghostwriter has provided a link to a scholarly treatise about the night sky on this date:
I, however, prefer to view the moon with my dearest Princess Leah in mind. She's staying at her Summer Tower home right now, and should have a grand view of the moon from there! On that note, I'm going back outside to make a call. The moon will be out until 1:27am my dear. I hope you had a nice nap today. We have lots to catch up on!
Ghostwriter is not going to know where it is day or night with that work schedule! Give her extra kisses. I love your flowers. Enjoy the moon with Princess Leah.
ReplyDeleteHow will ghostwriter ever stay awake for all of those back to back hours?! Your flowers are just beautiful and so is the moon!
ReplyDeleteWe bet you and Princess Leah had a great chat. Your flowers are all so pretty. Mom just finished all the watering of the flowers here before it gets too hot. We hope Ghostwriter finds some time to catch some zzzzz's in between shifts.

OMCs Chester GW is gonna be quite confused when this weekend is over. You might have to howl her a bedtime lullaby. Your flowers are stunning...and the moon and Jupiter photo...breathtaking
ReplyDeleteHugs madi your bfff
My dearest darling Chester, how wonderful to catch up with you on the Moon Phone. These clear nights do make for good connections.
ReplyDeletePoor Ghostwriter must not nose whether she's coming or going with all these strange shifts...tell her to look after herself
Loves and licky kisses
Princess Leah xxx
Those insane shifts sound like a marathon! Hope there will be lots of time off after all of that to compensate:)
ReplyDeleteYou sure have a diversity of prettiness in your garden Chester! Petcretary runs around a lot with watering cans for all the pots on our patio. There is not much in the garden itself other than weeds, BOL!
You sure have some pretty flowers Chester. We hope Ghostwriter survives her three days of different shifts. Our pawrents have been working overtime keeping all our plants watered this summer. We can't wait until fall when the temps should drop.
ReplyDeleteYour mom is going to be really tired when she gets home and is going to need to snuggle. You are just the dog for the job. Lovely moon and flower pictures
ReplyDeleteGoodness, and here I was thinking I do crazy hours! Your Ghostwriter's are even worse. Hope she got up in time though.

Hi hi hi! Ojo here! We think your person works too much! Also, we think you and your Princess Leah should have a date under that moon! Also, that is a very funny expression on your face! We love it!
ReplyDeleteOh my Chester, what beautimous flowers! We are so very glad you and the Princess are having clear moon reception...but we sure hope GW's schedule settles down soon!!
