Greetings friends and fans. This is the daily Bone and I'm your enlightened doggie reporter
Chester L. W. Spaniel.
I have a number of stories to cover today. First, we finally got a little sunshine today after days of being deluged with rain and dreariness!
Speaking of deluges, the Great Grackle Flying PTA (Poop Tosser's Association) announced the hatching of their eggs by decorating ghostwriter's car. Their offspring must be well fed judging by the size of those poo-bombs!
There was not a single drop of birdie poop on Dad's car which was parked right next to hers! So ghostwriter went over and shook the tall arbor vitae bush the grackles were nesting in just to piss them off. So here they are, Doody and Ditzy Craphurler, flying and squawking!
We can hardly wait to see their little baby gargoyles when they leave the nest!
Moving on to my next story, the persistent, record-breaking rainfall has resulted in copious amounts of mud in my back yard. I had to go out on a leash so I wouldn't get all muddy. But I did get one chance to have a good run, though.
Immediately upon coming back into the house, I had to jump in the bath tub. This water was clear before I got in. Really! It's a good thing I like getting in the bath tub!
Later on, Debbie Dove peeked in the window to say hello and remind us that the birdie feeders need to be refilled.
Oh, and we found an old photograph of my esteemed former associate Miss Ginger. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge in 2010. She was a real spit-fire! Even though she was completely blind by the time she was 7 years old, she lead the way on walks, and wasn't afraid of thunder. She provided the dinner music every day, and interrogated visitors thoroughly before allowing them in the house. We still miss her a whole lot!
We had a spectacular sunset this evening!
Dad and ghostwriter had some Chinese food for dinner. Fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce, crab rangoon, and fried rice. Yummy!
This evening I'll be watching for the moon. This is a picture from last night:
I'd better rest up now. See you later!
That's an eventful day! It's nice to see Miss Ginger. She must have been like Winkie, who sings fur his supper! BOL!! And what a spectacular sunset!!!
ReplyDeleteI finks you brought most of the garden in with your Chester judging by the colour of that BAFF water.....I'm going fur my BAFF and Brazilian today.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the moon phone call tonight!
Loves and licky kisses

What a gorgeous sunset! I know you had a blast playing in the mud, Chester!
ReplyDeleteMiss Ginger was sure a pretty girl.
Chester, you been busy, a nap is just what you need.
ReplyDeleteI been busy napping too. But pal you like a bath ha ha ha

Oh no not the PTA...seeing that on our cars drives my dad to say HBO words, and rumblings about it eating through the clear coat.
ReplyDeleteGinger was a black beauty for sure. Sunrises and Sunsets are our favorite too
Hugs madi your bfff
Ginger sure was a beauty - great find discovering that nice photo. As for those grackles - they sure ARE dirty birds. We had all the rain and the mud, then some nice weather - guess what's coming back overnight?
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning and Misty
Nice photos! Did your mom make that Chinese food?
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
The dang birds that nest in our snow crab tree poop all over the lawn which makes mom mad. And we have to watch out when the geese fly over - they drop BIG bombs. Your sunset is gorgeous

BOL what beautiful decorations

It sure was great to see the sun and not have it raining. We have a crazy Mrs. Bluebird that will attack any car parked in our driveway. With the kitchen renovation we sometimes have to leave our mom's car outside and Mrs. Bluebird has pooped on it plenty.
ReplyDeleteYou L-L-L-LIKE taking a bath? Yikes, C. I did not see that coming! Not that you didn't need it, obviously, but I usually let Mom give me a treat or two before I get anywhere near the tub.
ReplyDeleteLove and licks,
Cupcake
I am sorry your mom's car got bombed. I don't know why your dad's car did not get bombed. He must have a deal with the birds.
ReplyDeleteOMD, Chester, your Moms cracks me up!!! That is SO something Ma would do too! BOL!! Nows, your love for the tub still puzzles me dude ~ no voluntary tub time for THIS AireChick!
ReplyDeleteFABulous sunset! Sweet Dreams my pal!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
I hope those birds don't take revenge on your mom's car! BOL! We both had to get a bath today because we rolled in the yard and got yucky. Mom took us out on a leash too. Some people have trust issues.
ReplyDeletePoop on cars is a bane we have here too. Yuck.Petcretary;scar gets more poop bombardments cause she has to park under part of the weeping cherry tree...uh it must be weeping poops, BOL!!!
ReplyDeleteWe have grackles here too, but worse we have starlings. Those pests call in their relatives and neighbors and then in a flash all the suet is gone. None left for other hungry beaks.
No visible full moon...too cloudy...shucks, after a lovely sunny start to our day.
Whew busy day. Glad to see you were keeping the yum yum coalition going :)
