Good evening friends and fans! This is The Daily Bone and I'm your faithful doggie reporter
Chester L. W. Spaniel.
Today is the shortest day of the year in the northern hemisphere! The sun came up at 7:40AM and went down at 4:41PM.
Happy Solstice!
May your squirrels slumber and your doggie bowl be full!
OMD just think about this one Chester... TOMORROW Night we will LOSE a Min. of SLEEP as the day will be LONGER.
ReplyDeleteBUTT we like that about the Squirrels Slumbering... and our Bowls Being FULL.
Happy SOLSTICE to YOU.
We have been trying to figure out if the day was so short, why was our dinner so late???
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning and Misty
You must live a bit further south than we do: our sun didn't come up until past 9.30am! And then it didn't show its face until midday and left again just after 3.30pm.

Crickey ... We had a really loooooooong day here. It was bright light at 5am. Makes it awful hard to sleep in.
ReplyDeleteAnd that is exactly why mom has so many Christmas lights. Happy Solstice!
ReplyDeleteThat sure looks like a snow sky
ReplyDeleteLily & Edward
We can't wait until we get more light cuz it really shortens the time on my outdoor fetching window!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
WE will be happy to have the days get longer again - Mom barely gets home from work and it is dark

I hate how early it's been getting dark out!
ReplyDeleteEveryday from now until Spring the sun should stay out a bit longer each evening! We are hating the early darkness!
ReplyDeleteWe're looking forward to the day getting longer to. Thank you for visiting The Daily Bone!
DeleteMerry Christmas, Chester and family!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Christmas and a fun-filled New Year ♥
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you all including Joey.
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait for the evenings to stay light almost until the petcretary comes home from work...like on June 21st...here its light until about 1015 that longest day...cause we actually should be in the central time zone...but nope we are in the eastern time zone. Even the UP is, Wow!
ReplyDeleteBut I know the petcretary hates the dark mornings even worse. Come longer days, hurry up!
