Yummy Saturday

Hello everyone. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.

It's time for Yum Yum Saturday! Today's food watching photos are dedicated to my late,
great colleague and mentor, Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel.

Ah. Here we have some delectable chili topped with cheese,
with rice, and tortilla chips. Fabulous!

My humans are starting to switch over to their winter menu now. But they're still doing a bit of grilling outside.

Grilled pork chop, parsley potatoes, steamed vegetables.

Grilled chicken, green beans, and couscous.

Here's something new: chicken cordon bleu, and green beans.

I'm waiting for the slow-cooker pot roast with gravy and mashed potatoes to arrive! Yum!

Today ghostwriter and Dad went the King & I Thai restaurant for lunch.

Ghostwriter usually forgets to take a picture of the food when she eats out. But today she at least remembered to get a snapshot of the dessert. It's very simple: sweet glutinous rice topped with coconut custard. My humans have been going to this place for many years, and have yet to bring home a sample of that! But I can look forward to a taste of Vegetable Phat Thai noodles that ghostwriter couldn't finish.

On their way home, ghostwriter and Dad took a route they hadn't driven in a long time. They were surprised to see a pen with some big white things running around inside.

Turkeys!  Maybe they're for Thanksgiving! Yummy!

And now for some food-related funnies!

In other news, I was poking around in the compost pile today …

… and look what happened:

Bwaaaaaaaaaa! The leaves are attacking me!

One cannot be too careful when sticking one's nose into the compost heap!
All in all, though, it was a beautiful, sunny day.

Hmmmmmm … I wonder how I can get one of those turkeys?

  3. Your paw-rents have the most yummy foodables. Mom and Dad LOVE Thais food and fortunately there is a small family run place on Dad's drive home so Mom can order and he can pick up if they've both had really long days and there's no leftovers.

  4. The glutenous rice brings back memories of our angel Maggie when she was on her kidney diet. Of course, it was never served to Maggie looking that fancy☺
