Yum Yum Saturday

Greetings food fans! This is The Daily Bone and I'm your hungry doggie reporter
Chester L. W. Spaniel.

I'm hungry because I'm supposedly on a diet. This is because my humans found out that my Florida associate Miss Charlee weighs the same as I do even though she's twice as tall! Her vet says she's the perfect weight, and my vet calls me Chubby Chester!

Thanks a lot, Charlee!

Sorry Chester. I'm just naturally slim.

So now my humans cut down the amount of yum yum doggie food I get every day. They, however, continue to eat all kinds of delicious stuff.

Chinese take-out: crab rangoon, fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce, fried rice.

Meatloaf, baked potato, roasted beets, parsnips, and carrots.

Christmas goodies from Aldi's.

But don't worry. They can't resist giving me some generous samples from their plates. I guess my esteemed and late colleague Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel was a good teacher of food watching techniques.

The Other Coast

Food watching is an art.

In other food-related news, I heard my friend Tibie has been up to no good lately.

I wonder who did this?

Addendum: Some more Autumn photos.

OH OH OH OH OH! One more thing before you go to bed!

Check out the cover of this month's Discover magazine:

Required reading, humans!

OK. Good night.

  1. Sweet dreams Chester. Looks like your lawn has turned yellow and it isn't because it has dried up. That looks like a lot of leaves to pick up. It's good to hear that even if you are on a diet your pawrents are still letting you sample their meals.

  3. I tell the peeps they should give me all their food so I can grow as tall as my best friend, Ripley the Great Dane mix. They say I'd only grow sideways though!

Also, I see you have many leaves on the ground. Perhaps Rake will be coming out soon? Perhaps I could come help with Rake?
