This is The Daily Bone and I'm your distracted doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.
It seems spring is here to stay. It's about time! My venerable colleague Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel and I are a bit worried about the pear tree in our back yard.
It has lots of buds that'll be opening soon. The weather is good and we're pretty much past the chance of another hard freeze. What could possibly go wrong? You would not believe this, but we saw an operative from the Evil Squirrel Cartel sitting in our pear tree eating the buds!!!!! Is there no limit to their depravity?
I'm going to have be on constant surveillance at my drive-through barking window now! Stupid squirrels! Although Joey dog is semi-retired from the Double Doggie Homeland Security System due to his advanced age, he decided this was an important enough issue for him to get actively involved. So here he is, on guard duty, standing under the pear tree in the nice warm sunshine, thinking about all the yum yum pears he's going to get to eat by the end of summer!

On a side story, we got a picture of our favorite miniature human, Ryan. He was playing with his trains and making sure they were all tucked in nice and comfy for a nap. He loves his cars and trucks and trains!
Ghostwriter saw a great big dump truck on her way to work! Wow! It had a whole load of nice dirt. We wish we could buy that dump truck for Ryan! I don't think it will fit under his pillow, though.
Ghostwriter has been busy taking pictures of all the spring stuff going on around here and has neglected taking pictures of us doggies! She did get a good shot of the spectacular sunset this evening.
Sunset means the Evil Squirrel Cartel is going to sleep and we doggies can relax our vigil.

Our pear trees have allready had buds and flowers and are now all leafed out - hope that evil treerat gets lost so you can have some pretty blooms too. Our little bipeds played a lot with all those Thomas trains too - such fun for little Ryan!!!
