This is a fast breaking TDB news flash. I'm your diligent doggie reporter Chester L. W. Stephens. I'm live and on location by the shed in our back yard.
The Conniving Chipmunk Consortium has been spotted infiltrating our neighborhood. I found one hiding under the ramp to the shed. I barked and barked, but the chipmunk wouldn't come out. I would have stayed there and barked all day, but it started to rain.
All was not lost, though. Our favorite miniature human, Ryan, came to visit! We couldn't go out and play in the yard because it was still raining. So we just looked out the window at the birds.
Yes. The bird seeds go in there.
Do you hear the cardinal and the robins singing in the rain? I hear a chipmunk too!
You're supposed to close the panels now so the birds can't see you.
Oh, now Grampa is out there with an umbrella cooking hot dogs on the grill. Do you see him?
My esteemed colleague Joseph (Joey dog) Stephens and I each got a half a hot dog because Grampa (Dad) dropped one on the ground. Plus, we got the leftovers from Ryan's plate. Pretty good for a rainy day! We'll catch those chipmunks tomorrow.
