Did You See It?

Greetings loyal readers. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your humble doggie reporter
Chester L. W. Spaniel.

As many may know yesterday there was a solar eclipse in the United States. Since we live in New York State, we only saw a partial eclipse. It started to cloud up right when the eclipse started. But ghostwriter was very happy about that. You see, if you take a picture of the sun in the clear sky, it looks like this:

The eclipse was already starting in that picture, and it just looked like a big ball of light. But after it started to cloud over, it looked like this:

See the sun in the lower left?

It looks like the crescent  moon.

You know what? The reason the sun looks like that is because the moon is passing in front of it.

So I took the time to howl out a moon-phone message to my dearest Princess Leah and ask her if she would join me at the Blogville Barn Dance on September 22, hosted by our Mayor Arty.

It's going to be super fun!

Next, I have a special memorial picture made by Mr. Jack Freckles, Pipo, and their petcretary in honor of our dear departed friend Aiko, whom I spoke about in my last post.

This has become a cherished tradition among the Blogville community.
Please visit MJF and his family at: MeezersMewsFrecklesWoofs

That's all for today.

I'll see you on Flower Friday!

  2. Those are cool pictures your mom took of the eclipse. We used a pin hole viewer and saw the same shape on the paper it was projected on. We can't wait for the next one in 2024 and hope we are still around for it.

  6. I would have loved to see the eclipse, but alas, no such thing here in Norway this time around. The photos your two-legger took were great though, the clouds really helped!
